Rent415 was started in 2009 for the purpose of providing fully furnished short term executive rentals (avg. 2-6 month terms) for business and personal travelers coming to San Francisco, who wanted a true city living experience without long hotel stays. Tenants could literally move-in with just a toothbrush and basic belongings and have the flexibility to pay a flat monthly fee without setting up individual utilities, worrying about long lease extensions, or having to deal with historical, difficult landlord-tenant relationship issues. Our tenants have ranged from tech and business executives to professionals in theatre and entertainment, consulting, locals (requiring short term rentals while rehabbing purchased homes), to travelers spending a few months visiting our beautiful city.
Our philosophy always has been to provide an experience more aligned with a hotel-guest relationship that focuses on a high touch level of service, convenience/flexibility, and a pleasurable landlord experience. Most of our units are conveniently located near main public transportation connection points (SF Muni subway/bus), and within a block or two of significant commerce areas loaded with tons of restaurants, banks, supermarkets, and all the amenities needed for a great city life style. Our buildings have extremely high “walk scores” for the city (92-98% scoring) and are considered very desirable locations those wanting to experience the San Francisco city life. Since inception, Rent415 has signed close to 1,000 leases on our properties, with renewal rates north of 80 percent.
Over the years, friends, colleagues, and business associates would frequently complained to Carolyne about their own challenges finding quality tenants for their own residential buildings. After successfully helping 100 percent of them source quality tenants for their own buildings, the idea for Rent415 was born. Today, Rent415 provides full leasing for apartment units and home properties – furnished /unfurnished, short/long term, and locals within/outside of the city.
