For over 25 years, Carolyne has been recognized as a master “match maker,” having paired over a thousand senior level executives with some of the country’s leading technology companies as CEO of the executive search firm MatchStar Venture Search. In her early career, Carolyne had successfully built and run a property management company with her goal of one day creating a real estate business that would combine her unique talent for matching quality individuals with specialized opportunities in some of the top cities in the United States. So it was no surprise when she began buying properties in the San Francisco area and carving out a niche for connecting high end short term renters with temporary homes in some of the most sought out areas of the SF Bay Area. In the past 10 years alone, Carolyne has successful sourced and negotiated over 800 leases in the San Francisco area, ranging from long term, interim short-term (1-6 months), and vacation rentals (less than one month). For that matter, she has ALWAYS been successful finding a quality tenant for any property.
Carolyne brings her entrepreneurial “owner mentality” to everything she does, with a focus on the customer experience first and a belief that personal relationships count. Hailing from the D.C. area, Carolyne received a B.A. in Business Administration (New and Small Business) from Georgetown University, where she was sole winner of the prestigious Deloitte & Touche “Human Resource Management Award” for entrepreneurship and the ability to successfully work with a broad diversity of people. After moving to San Francisco to expand her executing recruiting business in the heart of the Silicon Valley, she began buying apartment buildings and developed a unique rental model that allowed business and personal travelers a high level of comfort, service, and flexibility for what is, often times, an extremely time sensitive and stressful process. Given her decade long success rate with her own buildings and endless requests helping friends and associates match quality tenants with their properties, Rent415 was born.
When Carolyne is not pairing business execs with top companies or travelers with exceptional properties, she can be found spending time with her husband and four children, engaged in one of her daily 10+ mile walks, wine tasting in the Napa Valley, working with her local church, or playing with her 2-lb. Chihuahua, Gigi.
